- A. Mandate and Functions Pursuant to RA 10229, Catanduanes State University is mandated to primarily provide advanced education, higher technological, professional instruction and training in trade, commerce, fishery, agriculture, arts and sciences, industrial technology, nursing, midwifery, education, engineering, public administration, information technology, and other relevant fields of study. It is also directed to undertake research and extension services, and provide progressive leadership in its areas of specialization.
