As graduates of the College of Industrial Technology prepare to enter industries increasingly shaped by automation and emerging technologies, Catandanes State University President Dr. Gemma G. Acedo reminded them that their greatest strength lies not in competing with machines, but in doing what technology cannot.

The CatSU President emphasized that human creativity, innovation, and problem-solving remain irreplaceable.

“Your greatest threat will never be your ability to compete with the field. Your biggest strength will always be your ability to think beyond, to solve problems, and improve processes that technology cannot imagine,” Dr. Acedo explained.

She added that creativity is a distinctly human advantage—one that no machine or artificial intelligence can fully replicate.

“Technology can never replace our creativity,” Dr. Acedo told the graduates.

The University President also extended her warmest congratulations to the graduates and to their parents and guardians, recognizing the sacrifices, perseverance, and unwavering support that made the milestone possible.

Encouraging the Class of 2026 to remain lifelong learners, Dr. Acedo urged them to continue refining their craft by earning new certifications, mastering emerging technologies, and developing new skills in an ever-changing world.

She asked the graduates to use their knowledge and technical expertise not only to build successful careers but also to create meaningful change in their communities and beyond.

“Wherever life takes you, may your hands build not only successful careers, but a better future for your families, communities, and our nation,” the CatSU President concluded.
