Catanduanes State University (CatSU) has earned accreditation recognition for six of its academic programs from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), following an assessment conducted on October 27–30, 2025.
In a letter dated February 20, 2026, AACCUP Executive Director Dr. Milabel E. Ho informed Catanduanes State University President Dr. Gemma G. Acedo of the accreditation results. Four programs were granted Level I accreditation, while two programs were granted Level II re-accreditation.
The Level II re-accredited programs are the Master of Arts in Industrial Education and the Master of Arts in Teaching Chemistry. Meanwhile, the Level I accredited programs include the Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management (subject to a revisit of Area VI), the Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education, the Bachelor of Physical Education, and the Bachelor of Science in Fisheries.
Dr. Acedo congratulated the deans, faculty members, non-teaching staff, administrators, and the entire CatSU community on the achievement, noting that the accreditation affirms the University’s adherence to national quality standards.
“The accreditation of these programs ensures that the quality of education at CatSU is relevant and aligned with national standards,” she said. “May this milestone inspire us to sustain a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement across all our programs.”
