The Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTED) program of Catanduanes State University – Panganiban Campus (CatSU-PC) is currently
undertaking the three-day AACCUP 2nd Survey Re-Visit, which commenced today, August 25, 2025, with a focus on Area VII: Library.
This 2nd Survey Re-Visit, conducted by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP), aims to assess the improvements made based on previous recommendations and verify the program’s compliance—particularly in enhancing library services and resources.
CatSU President Dr. Gemma G. Acedo, in her opening message, highlighted the role of accreditation in elevating institutional standards.
"Accreditation is very important as it provides a standardized measure of criteria for us to evaluate the quality and performance of higher education institutions," Dr. Acedo stated.
She also commended the Panganiban Campus team for their dedication in preparing for the evaluation to achieve Level II accreditation.
Lead accreditor Dr. Ruvy M. Tuble of Carlos Hilado Memorial State University recognized the personnel’s commitment.
"Although today is a holiday, you came in. This is a testament of your commitment to achieve the mandate of your institution."
Dr. Tuble emphasized that the visit will assess developments specifically under Area VII and verify compliance with prior accreditation feedback.
Panganiban Campus Officer-in-Charge Director Rosalie M. Ocillos introduced the library accreditation task force, headed by Librarian I Mr. Philip Edward A. Arcilla.
Key university officials in attendance included Quality Assurance Unit Head Josephine D. Rojas, who introduced the lead accreditor; Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs Dr. Arthur I. Tabirara, who presented the University’s key officials; and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Kristian Q. Aldea.
Other CatSU personnel joined both onsite at the accreditation room and online.
The evaluation includes a virtual library tour and interviews with staff, scheduled this afternoon, and will continue through August 26. The visit will conclude with a closing meeting on August 27 to present findings and recommendations.
