Catanduanes State University marked National History Month with a campus-wide celebration on August 27 at the Student Development Center, led by the Center for Catandungan Heritage.
Director Francis B. Tatel steered the program, which stressed the need to honor history, safeguard heritage, and deepen student learning in line with Proclamation No. 339 declaring August as History Month.
The event mixed culture and competition. Hablon Dawani, Rondalla, and Saliw Hangin performed on stage, while students battled in contests on poetry, song, essay writing, and a quiz bee. The gathering also elected officers of the Catandungan Heritage Society.
