Catanduanes State University (CatSU) posted 55 Scopus-indexed papers from 2021 to 2025, placing third in the Bicol Region’s 2025 research output. The surge came from 36 authors, with computer science leading all subject areas.
The data—verified in Scopus on September 1, 2025, via Global Health Focus (GHF) University Excellence—shows CatSU stepping up its research drive and pushing for stronger visibility in global scholarship.
CatSU President Dr. Gemma G. Acedo pressed faculty to raise more Scopus-indexed outputs, stressing that research with community impact powers both reputation and change.
She said the push ties into CHED Chairperson Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis’ ACHIEVE Agenda, especially the “E” for Expanded and Impact-Driven Internationalization Strategies.
